Whether we have cared for your pet before or not, we will make sure that when the time comes they are treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve.

This is the hardest decision that you will ever make for your pet and we will be there with you every step of the way. We carry out euthanasia in your home or garden so that your pet will be in a familiar and comfortable place. If your visit is during normal opening hours, they will be attended by a veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse as we believe a complete team is best.

We ensure the procedure is carried out in a controlled and calm manner. Sedatives can be given prior to the procedure to calm an anxious pet and we recommend this for animals who are in pain or distressed. If sedation is wanted, this will incur an additional charge of £40 to £45 based on the weight of your pet. We do not rush this visit, and will fully explain to you what is going to happen before we do anything. We want this to be a stress-free procedure for your pet, where they will fall asleep in a happy environment, surrounded by those they love.

If you wish, we are able to take your pet away with us for cremation.  We use a purpose built, family run, pet crematorium called Old Flatts Farm which is based in Treeton.  This is a bespoke premises where we can be certain that your pet will be treated with the compassion that they deserve by owner Chris and his family.

We offer two cremation options. A communal cremation is available, where your pet will be cremated and their ashes will be scattered on the premises at Old Flatts Farm.  An individual cremation is also available, where your pet is cremated individually and we will hand deliver their ashes back to you. This normally takes 7-10 days. Scatter tubes, caskets, urns and other remembrance items are available on request - please call or email if you would like further details.

To talk about things further or to request a same day appointment please call 0114 212 5800. Alternatively you can book a visit online using our booking form above. If you live out of the area that we cover, please still contact us as we may be able to visit you.
