Charlotte set up the Travelling Vet in 2016 because she believed that pets are often best treated in the place they feel most comfortable.

Charlotte qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2008 from the University of Liverpool and has worked in both large and small animal practice, as well as spending three years working nights in a small animal emergency clinic. She has recently completed a certificate in advanced veterinary practice, and now concentrates on small animal medicine. Charlotte will always treat your pet as if it is her own, and is known for giving very honest and straight forward information and advice.

Charlotte lives in Killamarsh, Sheffield, with her husband (Matthew) and their three young children (Alfred, Matilda and Rupert). They have two rescue cats (Spooky and Dandelion) and two boisterous kittens (Pancake and Cupcake).

 

Vet Katie

Katie Finkill BVM&S MRCVS (Veterinary Surgeon) 

Katie trained at the University of Edinburgh and qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2014. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and has always enjoyed visiting animals and their owners at home in their own environment where they are most relaxed.

Katie joined the Travelling Vet team in October 2019. Originally from Lancashire, Katie has lived in Sheffield since 2015 and loves the Yorkshire countryside. She particularly enjoys walking up hills in the Peak District with her husband (Adam) and Border Terrier (Dudley).

  

Kate Kitching RVN (Head Veterinary Nurse)

Kate grew up in Sheffield but went to Portsmouth University, graduating with a degree in English. She originally worked in an office, but took the brave decision to retrain and pursue a career that she was passionate about. She started working in veterinary practice in 2009 and completed a Veterinary Nursing Diploma in 2012.

Kate loves being a veterinary nurse and working as part of a mobile veterinary team appeals to her as she wants to provide a personal and unique service. Kate is passionate about animal welfare, particularly with regards to rabbit housing, diet and environmental enrichment.

Kate has a very warm and friendly nature, and will instantly make you feel at ease. She currently lives in Barlborough with her husband Ryan.

 

Ruth Lake (Animal Nursing Assistant) 

Ruth

Ruth is originally from Oldbury in the West Midlands but moved to Worksop 3 years ago and lives with her partner Chris and their three cats Sherlock, Sally and Stella.

Ruth previously worked as a Veterinary receptionist but decided she wanted a more hands on role working with animals and is now training to be a animal nursing assistant.

Ruth enjoys working with animals and loves being a part of the Travelling Vet team.



Liz Bayliss (Animal care assistant)

Liz lives in Sheffield with her son and has always been interested in animals and their welfare.  Liz has an NVQ level 3 in horse care and management.  She owns too many horses for us to count, and a lively spaniel.  Liz is always cheerful and loves to chat to you about your pets. She works with us as an assistant, and she also delivers our repeat prescriptions around the Sheffield area. Liz tells us that she now has her dream job with the Travelling Vet.
