Rabbits can receive their first vaccination at five weeks old, and will receive their vaccination for VHD2 four weeks later. At both home visits your rabbit(s) will receive a full health check from our team.

Rabbits are all vaccinated with Nobivac RHD/Myxo to give protection against myxomatosis and rabbit haemorrhagic disease (VHD-1 strain).  RHD (Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease) and Myxomatosis are diseases found throughout the UK and are both fatal to un-vaccinated rabbits.

These diseases can affect outdoor AND indoor rabbits. RHD is particularly infectious and contagious. They can both be spread by direct and indirect contact with infected rabbits and by biting insects. The virus can survive for many months in the environment. We strongly recommend protecting your pet against these illnesses through vaccination.
